NWEC has been notified of an upcoming SmartHub update that will impact how members access the payment feature within the app. This update ensures continued reliability and security when making payments.
Beginning Thursday, June 25, members will be required to use the latest version of the SmartHub mobile app (version 26.3) to make payments. Members using older versions of the app will no longer have access to the payment portal until their app has been updated.
For members with automatic app updates enabled, no action is needed. However, those with automatic updates turned off may receive a prompt to update:
Android users may already be seeing an update notice when logging into the app
Apple (iOS) users are expected to receive an update notification beginning on or after June 25
To avoid any interruption when making payments, we encourage members to check their app version and update to the latest release as soon as possible.
