High Voltage Demo

The high voltage demonstration is perfect for any size group. This free demonstration promotes public awareness of how an electric utility works and the potential hazards associated with electric lines and equipment. It includes a demonstration of the powerful charges contained within electric lines, is conducted live and can be staged indoors or outdoors.

Energy Bike

A great interactive presentation for classrooms is the energy bike demonstration. The speaker will begin with discussing all the different ways that energy can be created then a few students are given the opportunity to "create their own energy" by riding the energy bike. A small generator is attached to the bike and as the students pedal, their energy is turned into volts which are used to turn on light bulbs, a small hair dryer or a fan. This demonstration can easily be worked into a teacher's regular curriculum.

Energy Efficiency Presentation

Using less energy saves our natural resources, our environment and our money. NWEC can provide practical energy savings tips whether you are a teenager, a senior citizen, a renter, a home owner, a night owl or a morning person.  Whatever your lifestyle may be, we can offer suggestions on ways to reduce the energy usage in your home.

An NWEC employee will customize a presentation for your group or classroom that will provide each attendee with tips they can immediately do in their homes to begin saving energy and money.
