Tree Trimming
North Western Electric offers a free tree trimming service to its members. If you have a tree near power lines, please phone our office. Do not remove or trim a tree yourself. It is unsafe for anyone other than qualified tree trimmers to work near power lines.
Safety and Planting Trees
When spring arrives, people start thinking about planting flowers,
shrubs, and trees. Please keep safety in mind when planting trees. Avoid
planting them near power lines. A good rule of thumb is to plant trees
as far away from utility lines as the tree is expected to grow. For
example, if you are planting a tree that could grow 75 feet tall, plant
the tree at least 75 feet away from power lines.
